My Sober Art Therapy

Hi, I’m Kym — and this is more than just art to me.

Almost three years ago, I got sober. I live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and somewhere between the ocean breeze and the chaos of early recovery, I found painting. I wasn’t looking for a new hobby — I was looking for something to help me survive the storm I used to drown with alcohol.

Art became my therapy. My outlet. My lifeline.

What started as something to keep my hands busy quickly became a way to let my heart speak. Now, I create from a place of healing, hurt, hope, and everything in between. I pour all the messiness of life — the joy, the pain, the progress — into every piece I make.

If you’re here to shop, thank you. If you’re just looking, thank you. If you’re someone who shares, supports, or simply believes in second chances — thank you.

I create original paintings, designs, and I also offer custom work — so if you have something special in mind, I’d love to bring it to life. I may be a little scattered (shoutout to the ADHD brain!), but I promise you this: I put my whole heart into everything I create.

This is more than just art. It’s a piece of my story. Thanks for being here for it. ❤️
